I Use Kerio

& so do some others here

Zone Alarm probably does spy but I wouldnt know havent used it for a long long time (besides its not all that hot)

I used to use Zone Alarm, but have moved up to a much better one..... Kerio Personal Firewall.

Kerio is a great freeware firewall that has a small system resources footprint, but still works great.

Version 2.14 works just fine and can be found here:

However, version 3.0 beta 6 is quite a bit better and offers more protection. It can be found here: http://www.kerio.com/us/beta_section.html

As far as Zone Alarm being spyware..... there is no concrete proof of it, but the evidence is quite compelling. Personally, I just didn't want to take the chance and found a new one..... Kerio, but of course.

I'm using the latest Sygate Personal Firewall with great results... Used Kerio but i prefer Sygate's one now...

Used kerio in past, but sygate is in my opinion better, mainly because its easier to use.

I have gone the other way around (from ZApro to Sygate, and then to Kerio) , I have stayed to Kerio for more than 15 months and I find no good or even bad reason to move again.

I use Sygate 5 and I like it. ZoneAlarm seemed to hog some resources. I've tried look'n'stop too, which I rate very highly.

Got Kerio on my system like lots of the other guys here and it works fine.
