ffdshow codec jitters

I`ve had this before with some divX stuff but this time
it`s happening on a FFDSHOW encoded movie.
The screen blurs/smears,`blockifies` and goes green occasionally.
and its very annoying.

anyone any ideas what the problem is ?
other divX movies are alright and I`ve tried media player, divx player alpha, gdivx, bsplay.

Sorry, but there are no FFDshow encoded movies, since it's only a DEcoder, so first of all you should check which codec was used for encoding.

Easiest way: Get FourceCC Changer from w*w.doom9.org
, there you can see the codec identifier:
DivX, Div3&Div4 means divx, xvid means Xvid.

Please check this & report back, I'll try to help you then.

P.S. BTw, if it's Xvid, this could be "normal", this codec produces quite often such artefacts, that's why I still use DivX although Xvid is faster and more compressable.

I ended up converting it through tmpgenc.
now if only I can find out why some mpegs playback
by the timeline being condensed to the first 1/5 of the bar.
windows is getting on my nerves.
