Let's see what p2p file sharing client the cd-r soft forum members are using. I like iMesh for 56k, and KaZaA for cable, dsl, t1, t3.

Kazaa, edonkey are crap.
They e@t your resources a lot.
Slowed my athlon a lot

hmmmz. i have 256 here
but there are far better p2p proggys.
Winmx or xolox for instance

I don't get "satisfactory" results when I tried WinMX and XoloX. KaZaA is a memory hog but SLOW downloading on 56k. I get pretty good search results with iMesh (fast downloads) and KaZaA eDonkey not bad, but my oh my, sometimes large files take forever to finally download

I'm running mldonkey on a dedicated server (FreeBSD4.6, p166, 48 MB RAM) and it's working really good !
--> not the edonkey system ist crap only the windows client !

Another good p2p programm is soulseek .Kazaa & imesh are full of bugs.You'd better give it a try.!
