Fastest Audio Ripper ??

i need to know what would be aextremly fast ripper like music match used to be where u get 40x speeds while ripping i used to use gogo no coda but now even that goes extremly slow it sometimes takes me 3 min to encode a song and i have a 52/24/52x cd rw drive so i know the speed is there it just wont utilize it

so im asking for a lil help from u guys here for what is the best fastest ripper out there

thnx

i like "Audio Catalyst" from http://www.xingtech.com :)

works pretty fast for me on a amd 500mhz processor :)

its not freeware but was worth the money to me its a bit dated but for my processor it works just fine :)

its personal preference :)

Yep i agree with VIPER, i have used that in the past & it fast, reliable & does what it says on the tin so 2 speak lol

Now i use musicmatch, but not very often as it only there 4 rippin if i need it :)

Audio Catalyst is a first project of a developer of Audiograbber......So its better to go with Audiograbber couse its a better ripper......Still...I would suggest EAC couse its the best ripper outhere......And you can use burst mode(no error correction),so its gonna be fast......But it wont help it with encoding at all.....Couse ripping got nothing to do with it......If you wanna a fast encoder.......Go with xing which is equvivalent to audio catalyst........It will be faster then other encoders outthere....Actually its great combo.....Clicks and artifacts are included in price...... :) If you wanna even faster encoding and decoding(up to 3x)go with mpc
Actually i read somewhere that gogo is the optimazed(speedwise)lame encoder---but never tested...For good quality mp3 use Lame......You can find all of those with a search button.. :)

The Xing encoder has a miserable reputation for MP3 quality.

There was a LAME Alpha, not so long ago, that was INCREDIBLY fast - Lame 4 - though amid the reports of massive speed, there were others finding it slower.

On any practical CPU, you will NOT get massive encode speeds and quality together - and higher bitrates with full stereo (not JS) tend to encode faster, since although the output is bigger, the encoder has less work to do.

This is an axiom:

1. If you have Plextor hardware, use PlexTools.
2. If you don't have Plextor hardware, use Exact Audio Copy or CDex.

There are no more options.
