Extracting .bin & .cue? What other proggie...

It used to be simple to extract a CDR to .bin & .cue files in the past with good old CDRwin 4.0A. Loved it. Now I have a Pioneer 104 DVD-R drive and CDRwin does not recognize that drive as a supported device. As we all know, no more updates to new devices for Goldenhawk CDRwin & CDRwin 5 is a terror, stay away from it.

My question is there another simple useful program that supports or recognizes the new DVD-R drive to make simple .bin & .cue files of the good old CDR so I don't have to put the old HP CDR back in just to perform this stupid finction...?

:-(

rename file to...

Just rename .bin to .iso and burn with Nero, DiskJuggler to any other program that supports ISO images. The .cue file can be deleted.

OK.. I guess my question was a little confusing but I feel stupid because I figured out what I wasn't thinking about. I think you didn't understand the question...

What I wanted to do was to extract to bin and cue, not burn the bin and cue. I wanted to make a bin and cue image of a CDR...

I finally realized that in CDRwin this is only done in the CD drive of the computer, not the burner so I will use my good old cd drive to accomplish this and it recognisez that one...

Cheers..

WinISO is able to create ISO images from files on the HDD / CDROM. This can be converted to bin+cue, nrg or other formats. It can also be used to edit ISO images or other formats, view or extract files from them, ...

However, I have not used WinISO for actual extraction of ISO from CD. So I do not know if there are any problems in this approach.

I haven't had much experience with copy-protected CDs. Cool name for winiso (bughouse ;) ).
