Expired security certificate for some secure sites

A mate of mine keeps getting security certificate errors when accessing secure sites (image hopefully attached) using WinXP Pro & IE version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp1 (with Q328970 & Q324949)

Does anybody know a way to stop these pop-ups from popping up?

Have him check IE-> Tools-> Internet Options-> Advanced and see if he what he has checked for certificate checking under Security.

Sorted, it was to do with the system date & time properties

hehe, i had the same problem, i was getting so pissed off with it.

turned out i had the clock set back 1 year ;D
