Evidence Eliminator 5.074

G'day mates,

Using win98SE and a 733MHz PIII, I DLed Evidence Elimiator 5.074, due to the reported complete wash it accomplishes. I uncompressed, installed and applied the crack. It worked great for about a week and it really seemed to live up to the written word. Then, when using it, I got a notice about a windows .dll missing and it locked the Evidence Elim program. Not to worry, I used my uninstaller ( Add/Remove Plus 2002 ) to remove it, including the registry data, looked at the latest version of serials 2000 and found a serial no. and user name. Installed it again using the ser.& user name. All went well. Used it several time to be sure it worked. Rebooted and invoked Evidence Elim only to find it was locked again. Removerd it using my uninstaller.

I would guess there is a file hiding somewhere the uninstaller is failing to remove and therefore causing the lockups.

Is there a better unistaller or process that I should consider?

Thx

try using windows washer 4.5 instead...i used to have the same problems with evidence eliminator...got tired of spending my comp time fixing the damn thing

Chunter.

Thx. I tend to agree and admit I was using windows washer 4.5 regularly until I read about Evidence Elim. So thought I would give it a try. I think that decission was a mistake.

Cheers

i have tried evidence eliminator many times only to have it fail eventually. i have tried various cracks from different crackers
serials etc . only for it to fail i used older versions 5.51 - 52 - 53
54 55- 56 57 etc. one time i was actually taken to there home site
telling me i was using a crc also if you use a old version it will ask
you to upgrade if you dont it will lock down well it did for me
i think the makers have got it sussed i have given up on it
although i tried and tried to get it to run longer than a month
i use windowwasher that seems to work ok if anyone knows a sure fire way to get it to work say for about 3 months solid let me know its a pain of a proggy

fender62 just use kazaa and look for windows washer 4.5 full..
the one you've got is obviously time limited...or go here

h**p://astalavista.box.sk/ and look for a crack/serial number for the one you have

ref evidence eliminator i've got one that works 100 % its just that it cleans TOO much for me and gives me too much hassle day to day...never had it say wrong crack\name\serial or try to tell the makers about me....although admittedly my version is about 8 months old now its been that long since i used it

yea thanks for reply i have the full version of window washer
4.5, i downloaded historykill 2002 version 0.1 although its time
limited i couldnt find a crack for it well that version anyway
im not really sure if its any good or better than windowasher
i wouldnt mind if i could find the crc for it to give it a good test over time rather than the 15days trial

thanks to all who replyed to my evidence eliminator problem
it seems im not the only one who has found the same problem
with it ie a reliable crack for current version the makers must have put in a lot of time making it foul proof me thinks
:)

I have had EE on my system for almost two years. This message about a missing dll was built in the last or previous release. they had other "problems" before. There is an easy way to keep EE running. It uses a "counter' in the registry to keep track of how many times the program has been started. Use this .inf file (for 98 se) to reset it. Right click on this file and choose Install, or even better run it automatically at computer startup using this command line :
C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL.EXE setupx.dll,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 C:\.... .inf

C:\....inf is the path to evelim.inf. If the errormessage should pop up some time in spite of using this file, close EE with ctrl-alt-del and then use the right click install option for evelim.inf.

here is the file, I can't upload an .inf file

copy this info and make a file with .inf extension.

Eliminated

I too had exactly this problem. I also ended by uninstalling the app.

The thing that really irritates me is the shit they try to feed about 'missing files' or 'corrupted data'. Copy protection and security is one thing but this level of patronisation is incredible. In fact their entire site is an insult to the intelligence of any internet user computer-literate enough to navigate their URL.

Many thanks for the various alternatives offered here also - I shall try them.
