i changed the title of your thread to something more informative than "help" (choose titles that will actually let people know what your problem is). as serjer said, we need more info about how you're trying to copy the discs.

im using nero 6, i am trying to do copy disc using my nec2500a to read and to write, on most of my dvds i get error reading data, i have been able to copy about 3 out of about 15 dvds. I have copied one dvd on the fly and it worked fine on one of the dvds that wouldnt read in my nec2500a. Help

Are they originals? If so then there is a fairly decent chance that they are encrypted.
try using DISKJUGGLER read and write from the same burner i find its pretty good with most dvdr/+r medias for backup purposes 
try using dvd decrypter as well.
