Epson is upgrading its Stylus Photo 960 printer to print text and images directly onto DVDs and CDs. The discs are placed in a tray that slides straight through the printer's paper path. The new version, which is due in stores in February, costs about $350. Besides printing onto discs, the six-color printer also produces crisp photos with a resolution up to 2,880 by 1,440 dots per inch. Already own a 960 printer without the CD printing option? Epson will provide a free upgrade kit with the required CD tray and software!(Purchase above printer between Nov 1st 2002 to Dec 31st 2003) to gain free kit.
