Enabling Bass & Treble controls in Volume Control in Win XP

Please can anyone advise me how to enable the Bass
& Treble controls in the volume control in the system
tray as they are grayed out when i click the advanced Tab
on the volume mixing panel.. Can they be enabled in the
registry ? i have VIA WDM onboard sound on the
motherboard... One last question ? Does the soundblaster
live 5.1 PCI Soundcard have tone controls when the
Drivers are installed ?

hey onboard soundchip doesn't have this function. The only function most onboard soundchip has is probably enable 3D stereo, but that is about it. I know soundblaster have this trebble and bass option 'cause i'm using one. If you wants those options, i would recommend a new soundcard. Onboard soundchip sux and it utilized your cpu, with the exception of nforce.
