ecp printer port

HI any learned gents out there can help me? I seem to have no lpt printer port in coms when I look in device manager...

is yourr printer USB !? then the device will also be under a USB virtual device and not LPT

or your LPT port is disabled in BIOS;
however the port should be visible at your PC's backside;

what it is this, I dont actually have a printer installed at this moment but I still need to use the parralel port for using my xbox proggramer..

Ok got it sorted now it was disabled in bIOS..CHEERS dURACELL

nice one rugrat we got there in the end ... i just assumed the obvious lol... dont forget as you are using it as a comms port change the data rates to max as you would with a modem port you get quicker transfers than at 9200 the usual default
