EAC, Audiograbber & Speedy

Hi all !
I'm a new with EAC (Exact Audio Copy) (didn't try before, because not certain about software that's in alpha, beta or CR phases), but reading CDR Forum find that lot of people like it and use it, so decide to install. Looks great and works great (not sure which one is better, Audiograbber or EAC), but in EAC couldn't find (or there haven't) a great option from Audiograbber (that I like very much) "get tracknames from CD-text". Help please !!!
And for one more similar tool:
Few days ago I find on BSI's web-site: w*w.bsiusa.com the newest 4.0 version of Speedy (they say: "There's no better and faster tool than Speedy"). Can't find keygen or crack, so didn't try it.
Anyone have some experience with this one ?

Agreed with last 2 posts...EAC is much better at audio extraction than Audiograbber. Yes, EAC is slower and is harder to figure out. Give it some time and you will discover is a much better proggie.

If you have a hard time setting it up, there are lots of tutorials and forums to help you out. Check out EACs website for more details.

Besides, EAC also burns disks (with a supported burner) and is Freeware...no crack needed... the copy will even be a true 1:1 copy if you set the correct offsets. Audiograbber does not burn disks and needs a good crack to work.

The choice is simple! :cool:

OK guys, I solve the problem. It was something wrong during the installation. Reinstall EAC, and now CD-Text works fine.

'dxkim' you're right, EAC need a lot a time for setting it up, but have much more options and copy is 1:1.

BTW: Poko, what you prefere Porsche Carrera or Ferrari Maranello (ha ha ha).

Hey Poko, did you notice that the ltd163 is caching audio since f/w gh5k ???!!!

If you let EAC test it and accept the settings, you get a dismal ripping speed in secure mode. Bah! I guess caching must be good for something, but sure NOT for accurate audio extraction.

I downed it back to gh5e which is the last not caching audio.

If you own a Plexy, then give Plex Tools 1.15a a go. Just as good as EAC ;) ... guarenteed :D

Clarification

When I said EAC can only read *.wav format, I was referring to CDs w/ *.cda file extension instead of wav. I'm not sure if this happen to others but EAC would not detect the CD in CD-ROM if the files are in .cda extension.

I think that there is no reason anymore to have crap like Audiograbber or Audiocatalyst installed, or even Easy CD Extractor 5, since there are two audio rippers (EAC and CDEx) that are both free AND simply THE BEST AROUND. After being a CDEx user I've been testing the last EAC (0.9beta4) and found it unbelievably good. Still think that CDEx is better that EAC dealing with scratched CDs, but anyway no other software for Windows environment can match the quality of this pair. And both are still under development...
So, bye bye Audiograbber and such.

Another happy user of EAC

EAC is really nice.

I didn't tryed others, except for AudioCatalyst. AudioCatalyst sucks!

You have way out more options with EAC. Yeah ok it's more to get used to, but its really worth it. You can really configure everyway of it. It can make 1:1 music CD copy. You can set it to add ID3 tags in a really nice way.

I recommend it :)
