Dye color DVDr?

The more expensive DVDR's ( Pioneer, Ritek, etc ) tend to have very dark dyes while the cheapest ones ( Princo & there 100's of different names) have very pail dye colour. I think Princo just uses a thinner layer thus lighter colur and hence long term durability

I noticed that the princo DVD-R has a light red colour dye and another DVD-R from Octron has a dark red dye.
So you can say about the life span that the octron is beter?

Sorry.. didn't know language nazis would nuke that short post in Dutch and English...
Don't waste time on cheap Princos. They self destruct. The darker dyes usually do seem to be better. Dat is alles -- "That is all"

I havent seen the red dye ones, but Princo is at the bottom of the quality list. Thats not to say they dont work for some, thats because they are cheap. Have you ever heard of the saying "You get what you pay for".
