Hi there,

I've got a DVR-106D and have been using it to write to 'Datawrite' writable/Rewritable media with NERO 6.

The problem:
Once written to normal DVD writeable discs gradually become unreadable in any drive. And its getting worse.
DVD-RW discs report many errors when I try to erase/re-write to them. Same results as above in that I struggle to access them. I've not even erase them that many times (probably about 3). One of the DVD-RW's won't read at all now. It says BAD MEDIA.
A brand NEW DVD-RW disc writes ok but only start erroring once I start to erase and re-use it.

IRONY : Normal CDR/CDRW write fine with 0 problems reading/erasing etc etc. Is there a different laser for the DVD ability?

My DVR-106D firmware is 1.07 (latest)
Nero version is ver 6.0.0.15
My O/S is windows 2000

Any ideas people.... Drive or discs knakered?

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
