Thanks for reading.
A friend of mine brought a movie (DVD) over the other day for us to watch at my place. It was the movie SWAT and he made a back up copy using DVDXCopy Platinum. My DVD player is region free (region 0) but the movie would not play. I had to change my setting to region 1 to watch the movie, receiving some warning message that the movie could not be played on a modified region player.
I showed my friend DVD Shrink, how it doesn't have an awful 'advertisment' at the start of the movie saying which software made the back up copy and how I can make my back up copies region free or select which ever regions I want. I paid zero for DVD Shrink and he paid almost $160 for DVDXCopy.
How can a free piece of software (thanks must go to the author) be a far better application than a one which costs $160 more ??
Confuses me too !!
Just my two cents.
