I would say that you scrap that program.
For better quality, go to the tutorial section & follow one of the easy to follow tuts by our own ChickenMan.
The tools you will need are free also.
*off the top of my head I believe they are:
DivX codec (any, though 4.12 is still recommended)
Vidomi (for the encoding process). That's it that's all.
Ofcourse also smart ripper or DVD decryptor to rip your DVD unless you plan another source.

Even the best settings for DVDx still only gives you average quality.
Have a read of the DVD to VCD tutorial, print it out, its really quite easy and actually less fiddly than DVDx. The quality of the finished VCD will be the best you can make and is a little quicker than DVDx as well.
