Ahhhh an image, that's doable. Thanks. I see references to HD but I never think of Hard Drive. I'm so into Hi-Definition TV that if I see the letters "HD" I imediately think Hi-Def.MackemX said:you cannot use DS on pre-ripped files unless you create an image from the files

I'd love a HDTV but we don't have them yet

I tried the step you mentioned in your last post on the link you provided above(changing Temp path to the ripped directory). They still didn't show up in DS so I clicked Emergency>IFO Process Restart to see what it will do. IFOEdits reading the Temp folder and is writing to the Destination folder. If the files get messed up no problem. I'll just rip it again. I'm just tinkering.
A previously ripped DVD. I have already backed up this DVD in (movie only mode, still had to compress 3% using dvdshrink to fit on 1 dvd-r). I just still had the files on my HD and figured I would try using them to tinker with DS to get familar with it. Like I said, no problem, I can do another rip or make an image to mount and play with in DS.MackemX said:a fellow tinkerer
had you already processed the files using DS or were you trying to load previously ripped files?
Yep, that's what it did but never showed up in DS. I just wanted to see what would happen.it would actually update all IFO's for a previously ripped DVD if you start the emergency process and maybe that's handy for some
