DVDStripper (IFOEdit?)-Missing IFO 2nd disc

I'm your classic noob with regards to DVD backup so please bear with me if this is just ignorance on my part . . .

I'm trying to back up the 1st season of Alias and have run into a problem after splitting a DVD9 to two DVD5's.

On the first DVD in the set, splitting worked like a charm . . . I kept all menus on both discs and just split between episodes, no problems.

On the second DVD in the series, however, the Split processing is not creating a VTS_02_0.IFO or a VTS_02_0.BUP. Thus, the first two eps (there are 4 eps on the 2nd DVD) launch perfectly from menu on Disc1, but Disc2 crashes out of the player after the copyright warning screen. I attempted to open the VIDEO_TS for disc 2 using DVDShrink and there rec'd an error message pointing out that VTS_02_0.IFO could not be found. Sure enough, looking at all the VIDEO_TS folders shows Disc2 of the 2nd DVD to be without the aforementioned files.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Interestingly enough, I deleted everything, ran through DVD Decrypter(3.1.9.0) via DVDStripper (0.3.0) interface again, this time setting 'Stripper to "strip" rather than "split". I then selected the exact same items and menu items to keep as I had selected for "Disc 2" in my problematic split (some items actually were shared in the split attempt) and processed.

The result this time was perfect . . . the DVD loaded and each ep launched without a hitch.

BTW, IFOEdit is ver. 0.9.6.0.
