DVDShrink "Still Frames"

When choosing the compression level in DVDShrink, there is an option for still frames which drastically cuts down the size of the file. I can't seem to find anywhere exactly what this does to the final product. It seems to play normally after I'v selevted the still frames option. Can someone please explain the whole "still frames" option to me. Thank You!

Still picture is Shrink' s way of shrinking unwanted extras/video. You cannot remove extras/video completely, so this uses the minimum space on the disc (as well as removing associated audio). I believe, it only displays the i frames off the mpeg stream (every 0.5 seconds or so). It leaves as much room as possible for the rest of the disc.

For instance, in full disc mode, you may leave the menu and film intact (with unwanted audio removed) and then still picture the rest of the disc.

I have used DVD Stripper or Titleset Blanker to remove extras completely before loading into shrink.
