dvdshrink questions

Hi,

I just installed a dvd burner. Burned first dvd movie with no problems, it was a single layer dvd and easily fit onto 4.7gb dvd+r. Second DVD was about 7gb so I downloaded dvdshrink followed all the instructions in the help files and created a backup (to hdd) of just the movie file, compressed at 30%, using "re-author" mode in dvdshrink. After copying everything to hdd I then copied to a blank dvd-r (using roxio's "drag-to-disc" software). The problem is I cannot play it as a dvd with some of my dvd player apps. In powerdvd I can play in file mode but not in dvd mode. In windows media player, the media drive pulldown list detects the drive containing the dvd as not containing any playable media. However, with the nVidia NVDVD player it plays fine. Here are the files on the disc:

video_ts.bup
video_ts.ifo
vts_01_0.bup
vts_01_0.ifo
vts_01_1.vob
...
vts_01_5.vob

Sorry if I should have found the answer to my problem by searching other posts. I have, but I either missed or didn't find the answer. Thanks for any help.

although i don't use roxio, i'd suggest not using any sort of drag and drop software for burning dvd-video. i don't know what kind of file system it might've used, but that could be one possible problem (dvd-video requires the UDF file system). also, the dvd-video files should all be placed in a VIDEO_TS folder on the dvd; did u do that?
