DVDs won't play

Hi,
I have had a DVD burner for a while now. At first I was using CloneDVD and AnyDVD to make my backups. It work most of the time. Then I tried DVD Region Free and upgraded my firmware. It always seemed to be fine and I could read the DVD in my computer. But when I try to read the discs in my DVD player on my TV it does not work. It is not the discs. I have an Optorite 0401. Does anyone have any ideas?

whats kind of media are you using?? i (and most ppl in this forum) recommend ritek g04 for compatibility, if they play on ur comp and not ur standalone it will be a media problem

Hi check with your hand book or go onto the homepage for your DVD player and check the read formats for this drive.
It may be your DVD player does not support the format you are use at the moment so if your using DVD-R try DVD+R OR DVD+RW,,,But check in your hand book 1st..
PS. if it's the same burner you have being using in the past and all was ok then change your media...

I could not find Ritek but I did try Verbatim and it worked great. I guess it was the cheap disks. thanks for the help.
