Dvd's not reading..fixed

Added some dvd editing yesterday,and my dvd burner stopped reading discs.
I fixed it by going to>My computer>right clicked on the drive letter.On properties tab>recording.I used enable cd recording on this device>apply.

That got my drive working.Might be useful to some of you.

Great! Seems to solve my quick erase problem with my Asus dvd Recorder.

I had same problem with a 105 Burner
I deleted in device manager <> rebooted worked fine <> tempremental b*ggers arent they

Somehow both of you seem that you have re-enabled Imapi service... dunno why.
Fortunately enough I don't have this problem, or even this option available- I use Windows 2000 SP4, where no Imapi shite is present...
