DVDs made with IC can't be copied???

Hello everybody.
Yesterday, as I was trying Nero Recode a problem show up. Nero Recode can make DVD to DVD copies or DVD to CD (mp4) copies with very good quality. Although it worked perfect with my original DVDs, it didn't work with DVDs made by IC (versions 7, 8, 8.05). When I try to open a DVD from my hard disk it says "Failed to open file". More worse, when I try to open directly from the DVDROM it says "Encoding error - illegal program state occured" and Nero Recode closes completely.
Being curious, I tried to reencode a DVD made by IC with DVDShrink 2.3, just to see the response. When I tried to open the files on my hard disk it said "non-sequantial vobu in V_ADMAP" and "The reason is: Unknown" and did nothing. When I tried the Open Disk option it seemed to start reading the DVD but it soon moved to "No Responding" situation and ate all my resources (512RAM and 1GB pagefile that is).
Does anyone knows what happens? All my backups are made with IC and I'm not very comfortable knowing that I cannot reproccess my disks. Ok, I think I may can make DivX, but again, all these shows some type of incompatibility.

This is because IC8 screws up the DVD's proper structure. :(

This used to cause DVD Shrink to crash but was noticed and fixed to stop Shrink crashing during v3.1 beta testing but there is still no way to pass a DVD through it processed by IC8. ditto Recode which is from the same author, Dr shrink himself.

But you do not need to use these methods anyway, rather simply make an iso of the disc and burn using DVD Decrypter. ;) You will find that despite this fault, which affects most DVD transcode software btw even if you can process say IC7 disc through Shrink or other tool, compatability for playback is rarely a problem on most DVD players so don't worry too much. :)

I had a problem with copying discs that had been backed up with IC8. This only happened when I set IC8 to write straight to disc, when I changed it to make a pdi image the problem was sorted. I think this was because IC8 writes as it recodes the disc - it keeps stopping and starting.
