This is a new one...
Every AVI movie I try to encode gives me these error messages... does anyone know what the problem is? (See log file below).

Hmm.. sounds like the Audio is not being extracted/converted correctly or not at all (thus MPlex_Muxed_File00.mpg is not made). In DVD2SVCD's audio tab, try changing AVI Audio Extration from Internal to VFW and see if the problem goes.

Then does the file Encoded_audio_1.mp2.wav exist ? And is there an Extracted_audio_1.mpa file ?

Yes, there is file called Encoded_audio_1.mp2
And there is a file Extracted_audio_1 file... BUT, the Extracted file is listed as a movie clip.
And the MPLex log states the following:

" INFO: [???] mplex version 2.0.0 (2.2.3 $Date: 2004/01/13 20:45:26 $)
**ERROR: [???] Unable to open file C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Movie\Encoded_audio_1.mp2 for reading."

I ran the program again. There is an Extracted_audio_1 wave file, BUT the Encoded_audio_1 file is a text file of the Bsweet log. There is NOT an ecoded wav file.
Also, in addition to the Bsweet crashing, now the DVD2SVCD locks up and does not respond.

<gulp>... C: drive was completely wiped out and reformatted last week. Thats when the problems began. I reformatted to get the fugger to convert to NTFS.

Apparently, I've found a simple solution.
I again reinstalled the programs. But this time instead of using the settings expressed in the DivX to DVD Tutorial, I restored all the program default settings. For now at least, the programs seem to be working.
Stu

Arr.. so the re-install had nothing to do with it, just the restore to default settings ? Looks like I and 1000's of others have been using the wrong setting then for years.
