Installed both programs and followed tutorial step by step. After inputing all settings I get error: "You have the wrong version of CCE, run in safe mode". Well, I tick safe mode because I can't click "Go". After doing that, I get error: PIO error. I downloaded CCE at website and on this forum and applied crack. I noticed it says CCE 2.5 needed? Only version I can find is 2.49? Help please! Anyone have FULL version of CCE?

Goto doom9. In the section for dvd2svcd there is a link.
There is also a link in the movies section (here) somewhere as I saw it a couple of days ago.

ChickenMan, a few questions...

I managed to get this prgram up and running but after 6 hours of encoding and CCE said 16 hours to go? I decided to stop and ask a few questions before continueing. I looked at the video quality and I really didn't notice "significant" video quality compared to using SmartRipper& Vidomi (DivX 3 codec). My question here is can I change a few things to so the encoding process won't take soo long? Since you have went this route, does this program merge the audio file to the video file after finalizing? Can I just create a bin& cue without having to make an audio& video file?
Thanks in advance:D

A DivX encoding and quality will never be the same as a SVCD. DivX if made properly will always be better than a SVCD and encoding time for DivX is also a lot quicker. A DivX has one failing though, you cant play it on your DVD Player while you can the SVCD.

There is a new version of DVD2SVCD coming out soon that will have an option for faster encoding while maintaining almost the same quality. You can also play with using CBR rather than VBR to speed up encoding substantially but mpg will be bigger for the same Bitrate therefore 3 cd's instead of 2 generally. You can also not downsample the Audio from 48 to 44.1, this can save aprox 30min, but what you make is not a fully compliant SVCD.
