DVD X Copy Platinum

Does anyone have this program? I recently got a dual layer burner, so I thought I would give the program a try. Is it the norm for a DVD to take 80-90 mins to read prior to burning? Is it just my copy or are some discs just not compatible to make copies? I have a three year old, so all my movies are starting to get fingerprints and scratches. Please advise.

Or would I be better off following the tutorial that has been mentioned in the posts already? I am very new to this and could use all the help that I can get. Thanks!

iirc that was one of the first dvd softwares,and is totally inferior to today`s solution`s such as shrink,so try a dvd shrink or one of the tuts
