DVD Writing Need help with software

Hi My name is Michael and I have just bought a pioneer 108 dvd burner, I am already useing Canopus lets edit as a means of editing my films and coverting them to mpeg 2. Where I need help is buying a burner to burn to my DVD they all seem to come with their own editing software which I don't need. Has any one any advice on software

personally i'm using Nero v6.3.1.25; just add your DVD compliant MPEG2 video to a new DVD compilation;
