I am trying to extract a music video from a DVD to a format such as AVI, Quicktime etc that I can then embed in a HTML page. Ultimately I want to create a Enhanded Cd. HTML will be the enhanced segment

I have extraced the video from the DVD to MPEG 4 using Nero Vision Express. This is fine.

The next 2 steps I am struggling to find the correct software for.

1. I want to re-size this MPEG 4 file (smaller physical size)

2. I want to convert to AVI or Quicktime to put on the web page (trying to get reach PC and Mac audience)

Any suggestions.

I'm trying to work with HTML as I am familiar with this rather than learning flash or director. The HTML will only be a jpeg, couple sentences then link to view the video file

Thanks in advance

Jim

The easiest way to convert to .avi is to use AutoGK.

I use it a lot to convert dvd-avi, the results are very good.

For Quicktime, I believe you have to use Quicktime Pro ( I don't know of another program )

Depending on the size of the movie, you may have to consider streaming it, which is another topic altogether.

If you have quicktime pro you should be able to remux the mp4 to .mov, that is as long as it is SP with LC aac audio.

Quicktime 7 is supposd to support he aac and AVC, also I guess ASP MPEG4.

Should also be able to remux to mov via Graphedit and the 3ivX muxer.
