DVD that contains 2 episodes...

I have 10 DVD`s that contains 2 lesson each for a software program. I have got some advice to rip bothe lesson seperat. That I have done... but one lesson always fail to convert to SVCD... it stops at 39%.

When I play the DVD it seems to work fine... so why cant I make a copy of it?

Anybody who knows this?

(I am using Smartripper to rip and DVD2SVCD to make a svcd cd)

Got WinXP also in case you wanna know.

So you have ripped each set of VOB files for each lesson to the HD. Can you play these on the HD (WinDVD will play each VOB file for you) and are they complete?

If so, then I see no reason why they cant be converted, maybe select TMPGEnc to encode this one rather than CCE.

If not, try the internal ripper in DVD2SVCD instead of SmartRipper.

Try switching the Vob file access setting in Smart Ripper from Normal to ASPI.

Worked 4 me with a dodgy DVD from the video shop :D

Don't forget XP doesn't have an aspi layer installed as standard if that is what you are using.
