DVD session size question

i hope that this is the right place for my question. So here it is.... I'd like to know what is the minimum size of session on DVD.

There are no sessions at all at a normal (UDF) DVD disk. Consider it as a variation of packet writing, where the burned packets are not fixed.

If i understand... you say that it is posible to write on DVD(RW) in similar way like on CD(RW) formated in UDF.

I've asked because i am working on backup system that writes some recorded data (e.g. video, audio, data). I'd like to know if it is posible to copy data like on disk (i hope you understand me).
