DVD Regional Restrictions

hi everyone,

hope somebody can help me !

i've got a laptop computer and for a while had the facility to be able to watch multi-regional dvd's, but now it has stopped me from doing it. I have a Dell and using the windvd software. can this be setup to be multi-regional again ?

I would guess you need a program like DVD Region-Free. You can try it first and see if that fixes your problem.

seems you've used all your allowed region changes (ussually 5), but now you can use DVD Region-Free or ANYDVD to overrule hardware and software regional restrictions without more hassle

For some drives (certain makes more popular than others) there are people modifying the firmware.

1. RPC1 - uses SOFTWARE region control, and there used to be TWO good freewares that could bypass sofware regioning.

2. RPC2 autoreset - looks like RPC2 hardware, ACTS like RPC2 hardware, but never runs out of changes

I've downloaded the DVD Region-Free and going to give it a go later after finishing uni.

Sorry about multi tread's Rastabt, still trying to get used to the forum environments.
