dvd+r

i copied movie from DV cassette and it is about 1 hour and 51 min. When i tried to copy on dvd-r it siad out of space, then i bought dvd+r
in which 120/240 min can be recorded but still it say out of space. The file is in mpeg form and about 1.01 GB.

my recorder support dvd+r/rw and -r/rw
help.....

Not heard of a +R/-R recorder... You mean a writer? Recorder to me means standalone recorder.

What you need to do is lower the average bitrate.

Also not sure what you mean by it being in mpeg form. If it is DV then surely it is either a DV AVI or MOV?
