DVD+R won't play

I have been using Windvd creator to try and make dvd films etc.It is supposed to create the film,format and then burn to disc.The thing is it doesn't.Ten discs later I still don't have a dvd that works.I have tried all three of my multi region dvd players and the all say that no disc is present.You can see the files have been burned to disc but they are not recognised.Can anybody help a newbie?

Can your dvd standalone play +r media or will it only play -r discs.

Yeah its Multi format so its meant to handle both.
