DVD-R of MP3s to play on standalone DVD player

I have 4 standalone DVD players (3 different Apex and one Koss) that play MP3 CD-R's burned as data disks just fine. I got the bright idea to take my 3 Xmas CD-Rs filled with MP3’s (about 600 songs) and put them on one DVD-R. With this disk I could hit play on Xmas eve and turn it off just about New Years day without having to hear the same song by the same person twice.

So I created a data DVD-R using Discjuggler. Unfortunately none of my DVD players will access the disk and play any MP3’s. They just act like there is no disk or give an error message.

What am I doing wrong?

Denexo, what player did you play on? I tried this and it didn't work on my Toshiba 3805. I think that when the player recognizes the disk as a DVD, it then only looks for a file structure that matches DVD video, but that's just my theory.

On an AIWA and a CyberHome standalone DVD Players and a friend on a Pioneer.
The DVD player regognizes the disk as DVD, as you wrote, and it plays the mp3 files normal as from a CDr.
My settings are: No Multisession, ISO Level 2, ISO 9660, Joliet.

Denexno, that's great . . . . if you want to be able to listen to 50 hours of music at a stretch :D

Or if you have a changer, that could be 10 days straight!

The reason I burned this dvdr was that I wanted to make a backup of my mp3 files and not because I wanted to listen 50 hours music. So after that I tried to play this disk on my DVD player and it worked!

Actually, I would like to be able to put all my MP3s on DVD, but since my Toshiba player won't do random play for MP3s anyway, no point for me.
