dvd-r media

help wanted please , i am having mixed results with the dvd media i have been using , some of them lock up and skip scenes.
I have been using the choice dvd-r 4.7 , i used to use the fws disks 2nd edition and found them to be brilliant ,but unfortunately i am unable to get em anymore due to the release of the third series.
Can anyone recomend a suitable media for stand alone dvd players and preferably the best and worst ones to go for ...

Thanks ,,

If you are using DVD-R. Pioneer IDE DVD-R/RW drive. Use Pioneer DVD-R or Verbatim DVD-R media. It should be working find.;)

The speed of the writing DVD-R should be stay at 1x speed. You can used DVD-RW for testing your dvd player. If is OK, than burn to DVD-R. That should be the way to save you time and money.:D

I'm using Princos with my DVR-104 which are supposed to be burnt at 1x speed but burn fine at 2x as well. And they are inexpensive...
