DVD+R compatability problems

Hi, I have just bought a Philips DVD+RW drive. Using CloneDVD I have copied a couple of disks to play in my home DVD player (a Lecson DVD900). The disks I used were branded 'Mr DVD+R' and bought from Partners (£2 each but I just wanted to test it out).

It worked fine so I tried a Bulkpaq DVD+R disk (much cheaper!). When I tried to play it my DVD player came up saying 'no disc'. I then tried a Mirror Platinum DVD+R disk and the same thing hapenned. The weird thing is that I have a copied 'Mirror' brand disk which is DVD-R and this works fine!

Does anyone know a brand I could use which would work? Or does anyone know where I can buy 'Mr DVD' discs any cheaper (or who makes them - I assume they are a standard make which have been re-branded).

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to give as much info as possible!

PS. My dvd writer only supports DVD+R disks.

Thanks,

Paul.

@ hottotrott,

Suggest visiting the DVRHelp Web Site located at http://www.dvdrhelp.com. It appears that some owners of the Lecson DVD900 have had some problems having DVD+R DVD backups playing in this stand-alone player.

Coaster
