dvd-r compatability help ?

hi all..

i have a problem dvd player, when it comes to dvd-rs,,
its a philips,,when i try any dvd-r in it that i make
myself,,it wont play it at all, they play in most others,
execpt this model..i used smartripper and
dvd decryptor,,dvd2one,dvd95copy,record max 4.5,
used both modes for data disc,,tried latest nero,dvd-video,

i have tried some dvd-rs that i bought.and they
work perfect in the philips,so how do you get better
compatability.at this stage im running out of ideas,i
dont know were the problem lies,,

the ones i do myself are on the same media as the ones that work ok,, actually the dvd player is about 2 and half years old,

many
thanks

Its A media problem

I have 2 standalones some media play in one & not the other & vice versa

Its a matter of trial & error Im afraid:)

ive used the same media on the ones that dont work and the ones that do,,,i think its more of the process of creating the dvd-r is the problem,,

Are U certain the DVDR are the same <<>> brand means nothing the dye could be different

or as they play in others it could be your player some just are funny

Media is one problem.
How u burn it is another.
My philips does not like some nero versions.
What r u using to burn?

deffo its the same media,,datawrite grey tops,,,i tried fws also,
and data safe printables,,used record max with both udf modes,,
i done one with gear pro,,still waiting on result,,just done another
with copytodvd,,and nero,,

ive a feeling its dvd2one and how it authors the vob files...

no big deal,,but its just bugging me,,

just one thing,if i left out subs and i think the other is angles,
in dvd2one options, just pick the sound,,would this have an effect
on the compatibility,,do some dvd players look for these...

That should have been fixed during the dvd2one process.
Some players are fussier than others.
Movie only backups with dvd2one rarely encounter compatability problems.

Try this using nero
new compilation select udf/iso,no multisession,
under iso tab select only iso level 1 and iso 9660 nothing else
under udf tab select physical partition and udf 1.02
thats it ,i've tried loads of other ways but so far this is the
most compatable working on every player i've tried and
i've tried a few,

Forgot to add that I always add an AUDIO_TS folder as well,
not sure if it makes a difference or not but if it works why
leave it out

just tried nero,i remember i tried nero a while back,and udf/iso never worked for me,,but then i heard there was a bug,,which was fixed,,so i tried latest version,,worked ok,,,whats that option,,remove 1 from front of udfiso,,,force x box compatability,,
would this effect anything,,

i`ll give him the disc to try,,,,,,
