dvd-r compatability help 2?

hi all..

as i said in the other post,any dvd i do won`t play on a philips
761 dvd player,but play in most others,but dvd-rs i buy do play in the philips,,tried lots of methods,,no joy,,

then i found something interesting about the above,,

i started looking at sonic my dvd,,

when you click the option, get movies,,in the window that opens,,in file of types,,you have,,

movies(avi,m2p,m2v ect)

but the next one down says,,

philips IFO files (ifo)

so the burning question is how do you create a working
philips ifo file,,

I had the same prob. I talk with philips, went to their local tec-center, there they made a firmeware upgrade and now I can see any DVD- and Dvd+. The only prob is that you will be 2 weeks without DVD

i just gave him one,,this time i done the whole movie,with extras,
and it worked,

it seems to be very picky,on what it plays,,or how the dvd-r is
made up...

was your dvd-player a 761 also,,,
