When/where/what does failed?

as the boys said, multisession DVDs sucking; simply there is no multisession DVD standard, it's a "special Nero development" :rolleyes: ; thats what Nero's warning message tries to say;

Greetings from
Duracell

It fails multisession burning mr.Duracell-thats the topic here..
Also copy to dvd has a mulsession too..so its not nero only ;)
But anyway will stay out of it if its trye :)

i know :rolleyes: :D
I tried to ask: Does it fail while compiling, initializing, burning, lead out or while playing back the burned disc? Nero should spit out an error message; your pic above is just a warning message, but not a specific error yet;

if you are using XP (as Nero claims) and even Isobuster or CD/DVD Inspector can't help you, then it seems your reading hardware (DVD burner?) is not compatible with this sort of non-compliant, non-standard DVDs;

Don't use it. Some windows applications (including Nero) do make that standard-braking "multisession DVD", even or +R media, but then all +R Media become unreadable- you need a rescue utility to get the data back.
Even under Linux K3B burns that multisession oddity, but at least it does it only on -R, and refuses to do it on +R (simulation as well, for reasons pretty obscure to me).

So if i understand good,using nero;
Its more chance to sucsed if its -
But you dont recomend that at all?
Ok,so i guess i should forget about it :)

All I can suggest if you want to burn data on DVD and later adding more is:
1. Using TAO-open, and an app that supports the mode (which is 100% OSTA compliant). I can suggest RecordNow, Prassi ONES and Juggler which do support that mode.
2. Using a packet writer which can burn on DVD-nonrewritable (so inCD is excluded). DLA is fine, but it hardly spupports any new burners, excluding Lite-On and Sony (which are effectively the same burners). If you don't have such a burner, then have a look at Pinnacle's/VOB's Instant Write, it works quite well and supports way more hardware.
In contrast to packet writing to rewritable media, which sucks bigtime, using a packet writer for normal media is absolutely safe.
