DVD Navigator Not Detected..

I'm working on a SysteMax computer that has the following..

GigaByte GA6WMMC7 Motherboard.
Intel Celeron-A 500 MHz CPU.
260,592 k Ram.
Windows 2000 Pro/Service Pack 4.
Hitachi GD-5000 DVD ROM.
InterActual Player 2.0
WinDVD4.

Now here's the problem. I am unable to play a DVD movie using the Hitachi DVD ROM.. yet I can play a music CD perfectly O.K. or install a CD program using the Hitachi.

When I try to play a DVD movie, the following happens. The DVD movie disk automatically starts and opens both the InterActual Player.. and the InterActual Controller. When I click the "play" button on the player I receive a message that says.. "InterActual Player 2.0 Error. The DVD Navigator was not detected".

Depending upon the DVD movie I try to play (such as "The Fast & The Furious"), the introduction starts up and plays.. with the movie menus appearing, ie: play movie, main menu, scenes, bonus features, etc. When I hit play I still receive the error.

I've installed, re-installed and re-re-installed both the InterActual Player.. and the InterActual Controller. So what's going on that I don't see? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks..

uninstall the InterActual stuff.....some movie dvd's (for example, latest Harry Potter,Region 2)or dvd softwares install it to play the data part of mixed dvd's.....However,since it can play movies too,it associates itself with movies.....
Open your movies with Windvd 4 instead....it's old(you got it included in a software bundle together with some hardware?),but will serve you better..

Interactual is accused by many of being spyware, though it appears it does ask - ok so long as whatever it rides on is still usable if you say NO.
