DVD Multi recorder/CD-RW burning problem

I just downloaded some Anime in AVI format off a site. I want to make a DVD video of the Anime for a gift to my friend. When I tried to burn them to a DVD-R with InterVideo WinDVD creator (which was the software that came with my Laptop), I got an error saying "Can not complete authoring process due to some error" What really gets me is that it says "some error". I have never in my life saw a error message saying that. It should say what kind of error it is so I could fix it faster.

I'm using Toshiba Satellite P25-S509 laptop and Windows XP home edition.

It plays DVDs and CDs fine....but I never checked if it could burn CDs yet. But right now I want to burn this DVD.

Please help!

Sounds like warez and that being case me thinks you should read the rules. We can't help you with warez.
