Dvd Menu's

at the present time i use decryptor followed by dvd2one then copy to dvd such a long process but it works apart from not giving me any menu's help is very welcome

The new CloneDVD will let you keep the Menus or not.

You can also use IFOEdit to stipout all unnecessary stuff from the dvd and then use the Whole DVD option in DVD2ONE.

dvd menu's

clone dvd wont let me copy original dvd's because of the copyrights situation how can you back up if it wont let you? i do like the look of the program

Though I have not yet used Clone, I would assume that like InstantCopy, you need to rip the DVD to your hard drive first. Use DVDDecrypter or SmartRipper to do the chore.

Yep, exactly so aybesea.

Whilst CloneDVD will let you copy the menu's even on a "movie only" disc you can still run into problems. If you select any of the extras from the menu you will just get a grey screen and I've had to turn the power off to my DVD player because it then becomes unresponsive. :(

There is a way to stop that problem though by using a nifty little prog called MenuEdit whereby you can then delete the buttons pointing to extras that are not there. You can get a FREE limited version of it from:- http://menuedit.dimad.net/home.html and there are 2 pages on the site which show you how to use it.

Even if you do movie only in CloneDVD though you still have to rip ALL the files to your HD in file mode.
