dvd film pauses then plays hlp req

i bought dvd film and when im watching it it will freeze for a second and continue playing it happens throught the film it very annoying i have tried the same film in an xbox nd it doesnt do it
my dvd palyer a yamada 2100 is brand new although the film i tried isnt what could it be

ok i got the zip for upgrading this is what it says to do i need help
though i use nero it says - Extract the files to your hard drive and burn them to the root directory of a CD. Use Standard ISO Format and finalize the CD. Use no multi-session or XA Format! Insert the ready CD into the DVD-Player and press "Play" when prompted. When the CD drive opens take out the CD and wait about 1-2 minutes. The DVD player will be reset automatically.
--- tried it and cant see any difference anyone have any idea what its suppose to do i i found uou it supposed to get rid of audio clicking sound in some setups also i have noticed that planet of the apes new version
freezes in parts and then plays very odd anyone else had that happen
its like it freezes and then jumps frames
