dvd film backup one dvd drive hlp req

i only have a dvd writer pioneer 106 and not a dvd rom drive as well what software is there that doesnt need two dvd drives to backup my moviesie that copy to hard disk then to dvd media

Here is the totally free backup guide. You don't need 2 drives to backup a dvd. 1 dvd burner is fine.

Just a though if your going to back up a lot of movies you might want to get a dvd reader. Two reasons one is faster ripping speeds and two so you don't shorten the live of your 106. Just in case you didn't know.

Yep .... and with DVD-ROM drives being so cheap now, it's well worth getting one.
Also your rip speeds will be much faster.

I like the liteon 16x DVD-rom. You will find among the members that liteon DVD-roms are the preferred choice.

The next chance I get I'm also getting a lite-on dvd-rom. I bought a sony to take the load off of the dvd burner but I get errors when ripping to the hard drive. Then I pop it in the pioneer and it rips fine. So it's not the discs.

i have since got another dvd drive as suggested from ebay a nec DV-5800
i dont know if there any good though but the price was good and it works perfectly although it has a black bezel im sure they should be cream coloured
