DVD Drive DMA

How could I enable DMA on my DVD drive, I did it before with WinXP now using 2000Pro and can't remember how I did it.

Right click My Computer>Properties. Go to the Device Manager tab folder, click the + beside DVD/CD-Rom. Locate your DVD-Rom and click properties. Go to the Properties tab folder and enable DMA, click apply>reboot.

I did as that ATI page said and my DVD is still a little jumpy, it says in my DVD player that DMA isnt enabled.
