dvd decrypter is this right

ive just backed up a copy of love actually and it copyed fine apart from i got subtitles all the way through it.but my question is does decrypting a dvd with dvd decrypter take over an hour or is there a way of changing the read speed thanks
my spec is:
win xp
250gb harddrive
sony ddu1621 dvd rom drive
pioneer 107 d

What cpu are you using and how much memory do you have?
normally takes me about 15mins with xp2600 @ 2.2gig
In DVd Decrypter, go: Tools, Settings, Device and you can alter read speeds there.

15 minutes is about the average for any dvd I've decrypted also.

Sounds like you do NOT have DMA turned on for the device thats doing the reading. Turn it in in the IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers in the Device Manager.

i think the problem here is that the dvd-rom drive you're ripping from has its read speed locked at 2x when reading CSS-encrypted dvds. try checking out the firmware page to see if your dvd-rom drive(s) have patched firmwares (the 107D has one for sure).

i have 250gb hhd and its 1.7 gig. i need a guide on how to change the ide atapi controllers is there one in the guides ive looked and cant find one. My dma is available at this present time thanks
