Ok, so I this is my first post. I have always been able to find my answers by reading other peoples experiences. However, now I have one that I just can't figure out. I am using dvd decrypter 3.5.? (was using 3.1.?), dvd shrink, and nero burn. I am a dvd collector and after spending as much money as I have to own the dvd's I don't want anything to happen to them so I back them up. I use Chicken Man tutorial for burning, I decrypt in file mode, shrink entire file (menus and everything) and burn with nero. Well now to my problem, over the past year and approx 400+ successfull backups my decrypt process only takes about 15-20 min (depending on movie size). But, all of a sudden my decrypts take 45-60 min. So I decided to test my dvd rom drive speed etc. and the test shows 8x dvd read and 48x cd read. Must not be the drive, maybe the dvd? I put in my backup copy of master and commander and tried to decrypt it. This should take 7-12 min because of no encryption on my backup but nope, took 28 min??? If anyone can lend their expert opinion I would greatly appreciate it. I am very stumped. By the way the process still works, just takes the decrypting stage about 3x as long (no other steps are slower). Thanks, KM

You might just wanna add what type of dvd rom and/or burner and firmware you are running there kmmalito..
..as it could be a number of reasons..

Chack also if your DMA settings are still correct......some program updates can revert them back to PIO...
