Dvd Decoder Card Encore Dxr2

Hope someone can help me...

I have just bought a creative encore PC-DVD Dxr2 (model CT7120)
decoder card.I have a pionner 114 (de-regionalised) dvd drive.

I installed the decoder card but all i get when i open th PC-DVD encore app is a distorted image of my DVD film. really crap picture all drivers are the newest i could find on the net and the app is the lastest version.

Surley the picture i should be getting should be top notch as i'm using hardware to decode and not software.

I have tried creatives wed site and the support is crap. hope chickenman has the answers to my problems???

Poko is spot on, I would have suggested a Hollywood Plus Card!

The problem with your current card is probably Video Card driver related and not the actual Decoder Card. Have a play around with its settings. Update its driver, if available.

hollywood decoder card would have been my 1st choice but @ £55 was a bit expensive..
the creative one was only £25 (which i see why now lol)
hopefully by updating my video card drivers this might do the trick i will keep you posted in case you ever get asked the same lame question again.
