hi everyone i've just registered great site

can any one help i have just ripped a movie and it is taking up a lot of space on my hd can i zip it or somthing or will i have to delete it???????????

thanks

Doubt zipping it would achieve much, besides you would need the size of the movie or more worth of freespace to do it.

The idea generally would be to burn it, then delete it.

If you did want a smaller version to sit on your HD then you could compress to say an XviD mp4. However the process is not reversible like zipping would be.

what do i need to compress to mp4

Don't think mp4 is covered there, it was just a suggestion anyway. You could do a DivX AVI, VP6 OGM, RV10 mkv or whatever instead.
