DVD Copying help

I've just bought my DVD Burner (AO5) and now need a bit of help.
Firstly what is the process for copying a movie? Do I rip the vobs then burn them? If so what program do I use. Is there a way to copy the whole movie and down size to fit 4.7g.
Secondly what is the best way to copy PS2 X-box ect. What program to people use and what settings are used?

All help is appreciated

hi mate....

Everything u need is already here ....

For DVD Movies goto the Tutorials section (if u chose this way it is maybe a little bit harder but u will not have any troubles)
If u want to chose another method ... search for "DVD2DVDR" or DVDXCOPY .... I recommend DVD2DVDR cause it is nearly the same than my tut but with an gui. ;)

For Psx Backups try the tuts written by PSXPAUL.

Xbox is also not that difficult ... if u have some tools ;)

1.U will need a NIC + crosslink network cable or hub

2.EvoX Dashboard installed (on your Xbox)
cause u need to activate your ftp access....

3.ftp client (on your pc)

4.just connect to the box... open drive d: and copy the content to your Hdd...

5. Get something like "Xiso"
It will create a XBOX ISO FILE out of your files

6. Burn this Iso
I use Nero or Record Now Max 4.5

O.k just a quick one before I start, do DVD-RW work on PS2? I'll try a DVD-RW first so I dont get a coaster but if they dont work then I wont bother. You need to understand in Oz they over $5 each for a DVD-R, I can get personalized bar coasters cheaper

I don't recommend this method, because you're pretty much wasting your time making an ISO.

Plus Xiso is a pretty bad piece of software, most experienced users will know. I've coastered many expensive DVD+R discs with Xiso images.

if you must go through the process of creating an ISO, I suggest using GDFImage. to extract an ISO, I recommend XDFS Extract.

But the best way to burn an Xbox ISO dump, is to transfer the entire directory contents for the software in question to your PC.

From there, Boot up RecordNowMax 4.5+ start a new Data Session selecting, click on the "options" button next to "Add Files and Folders" go down to the DVD recording settings, select "Track at Once Closed" & "UDF - Up to128 in filename length, any char., plus 8+3 tree (Bridge)"

Recording this way bypasses the waste of time Xiso image making, burns the files directly to your DVD, and is both readable on your PC DVD-ROM and your XBOX. Pretty convenient.
